Winner of the 2016 Indonesia Travel & Tourism Awards

The ITTA Foundation again awarded the 2016 Indonesia Travel & Tourism Awards to actors in the tourism, hospitality, airline, and all related sectors. The event which was held on December 14, 2016 at the ballroom of The Ritz Carlton Jakarta Mega Kuningan gave awards to 53 winners.
Panca Sarungu, Chair of the ITTA Foundation, said that the winner’s assessment was conducted in three stages, namely through online voting conducted in the last four months, then an assessment by BINUS School, and finally an evaluation by the judges of the ITTA Foundation Board of Advisors.
Panca said, the Indonesia Travel & Tourism Awards (ITTA) had been held since 2010, and since then various companies have received the Indonesia Travel & Tourism Awards.
Tazbir Abdullah, Assistant Deputy for Business Market Segment Development and the Government of the Ministry of Tourism, said that Indonesia has become the main sector contributing foreign exchange to the country, not to mention the mining industry, coal, oil and other natural products. “Foreign exchange earnings from the natural products sector continue to fall, while tourism continues to rise and will be number one,” said Tazbir.
Therefore, the government in this case the Ministry of Tourism welcomed this Indonesia Travel & Tourism Awards award which is expected to encourage and motivate others to make Indonesian tourism even better.
“The Ministry of Tourism will support the Indonesia Travel & Tourism Awards because the government is unlikely to give appreciation to the industry, but through this event appreciation can be given,” said Tazbir.
